Who we are

What we collect
When you visit this website
- Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful: the pages you view, the type of device and browser, the approximate area you are browsing from, and how you arrived. We have switched off Google’s advertising features and Google signals, and we do not run advertising.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which protects the site, process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block attacks.
- Cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (named
_ga) to tell one visit from another. If you sign in as a member or staff, WordPress sets a login cookie. We use no advertising cookies.
When you contact us
If you call, send a WhatsApp message or email us, we see your name, your number or address and whatever you tell us. WhatsApp messages are also handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
When you become a member
- Your full name, CNIC number and phone number.
- Your membership record: your plan, dates, payments and any payment receipts you send us, the access card issued to you, and books you borrow from the library.
- If you bring a guest, the guest’s name and the date of the visit.
CCTV at the space
The shared areas, the approaches to them and every private office are covered by CCTV cameras.
Why we collect it
- To run your membership — your plan, your seat or office, your access card, payments and receipts.
- To keep the space and everyone in it safe. We keep a CNIC and a record for every member to protect the data and privacy of all our members: if something goes wrong, it lets us take action and reach the person concerned.
- To reply to you when you get in touch.
- To improve the website, using the usage statistics above.
CCTV footage
Footage is available only to the Desk&Wifi administration. It is kept for a limited period and then overwritten. A member who holds a private office for the full 24 hours may ask for access to the footage of their own office; no one else is given access to footage of a private office.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is seen outside Desk&Wifi only by:
- the services that run this website — our web host, Cloudflare and Google Analytics — for the purposes described above;
- the police or other authorities, where the law requires it or where it is needed to deal with a crime or a serious incident at the space.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Membership records are kept while you are a member and for as long afterwards as we may need them to deal with a payment or an incident.
How we protect it
Membership records, CNIC numbers and CCTV footage are available only to the Desk&Wifi administration.
What you can ask us
- To tell you what information we hold about you.
- To correct anything that is wrong.
- To delete information we no longer need.
Email info@deskandwifi.pk or ask at reception. You can also stop Google Analytics from counting your visits by blocking cookies in your browser.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date at the top.
